先日高校時代の友人と再会したというブログを書きました。
今日は、高校時代の恩師と 年賀状で会いたいと書いてきた友と
３人で会いました。
先生は、毎年 毎年 途切れることなく年賀状をくれました。
数年前に電話でお話をしたのですが
今回は、友の年賀状のおかげで ２０何年振りかで
先生とも会うことができました。
私達が４９歳になったのだから当然ですが先生は７７歳の喜寿の祝い
の年齢になっていました。友と相談して、私は花束を、友は喜寿の祝いの
夫婦茶碗を用意して 懐かしい先生と会いました。
思いがけない贈り物に 泣きそうといいながら涙目になりながら
笑う変わらない先生が そこにはいました。
やんちゃだった 私達を、停学になりそうな危機から何度も救ってくれたり
アルバイトを紹介してくれたり、学園祭には こづかいをくれて
みんなで好きなものを食べろと言ってくれた先生です。
あんた達は、いい子達だったから 楽しかったと 懐かしそうに目を細めて
言う先生に、私達は改めて 感謝の気持ちでいっぱいになりました。
先生だからといって 決して上から目線でなかったことは
毎年 生徒である私達が年賀状を出すことを忘れてしまっても
律儀に送り続けてくれた その気持ちが 立場ではなく 気持ちなんだと
いうことを今も尚 教えられました。
カウンセラーという仕事をしている今、私は、立場ではなく
気持ちで クライエントさんと向き合いたいのは、そんな優しさと愛情いっぱいの先生がいてくれたことも大きな影響と励みになっていると
改めて感じた日になりました。
そして そのきっかけを 与えてくれた
会いたいと伝えてくれた友にも 感謝です。
